Very good news for all idevice users,pod2g confirms untethered jailbreak of ios 5.1.1 will also work with iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS.Few days ago pod2g announced the devices which will be compatible with his untethered jailbreak of ios 5.1.1.This list doesn’t included iphone 3GS and ipod 3G.But it looks like that pod2g has found a way through this. So, iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G will be jailbreakable.
So, once the Pod2g’s untethered jailbreak is released, iPhone 3GS and iPod 3rd generation owners will be able to do untethered jailbreak on their iDeveices running iOS 5.1.1.
The reason these devices were initially excluded was because the kernel vulnerability used to accomplish the jailbreak on other devices didn’t appear to work on the iPod 3G and the iPhone 3GS.
